Archive for December, 2011

How good it is that we have a full twelve days to celebrate the feast of the Incarnation. What a wild and wonderful, totally miraculous event for us to try to get our hearts and minds around!

Our God was made flesh. Our God took human flesh upon himself in order to join us, to love us, to save us. Whoa- now that is GOOD NEWS!

It was a joy to sing our hymns and hear our readings on Christmas Eve. And we encourage you to take a little time out to celebrate the season. Perhaps you can light a candle for a few minutes a day and enjoy some quite. Perhaps you can meditate in front of an icon or image of the Holy Family. God is in our midst. Let’s take a little time out this season to pay attention. Merry Christmas to you!

Grace and Peace,

Your Friends at the Chapel of the Holy Spirit
