The Chapel of the Holy Spirit is an Episcopal Church in Uptown New Orleans and the home base for Episcopal Campus Ministry of Tulane and Loyola Universities, in partnership with the ELCA. Our mission is to share the joy we find in faith, community, and service with the campus communities of Tulane and Loyola. We strive to be a place where all people are not only welcomed, but where all people are celebrated and loved.

Sunday Worship Opportunities
Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness. -Psalm 29:2
Eucharistic celebration is central to the life of our community. We hold services of Holy Eucharist at 10am. During the academic year, our student service is held Sunday evenings at 7pm, followed by dinner.
We welcome all people to our worship as we celebrate our ancient Christian faith in this new millennium.
Fellowship
Let us love one another, because love is from God – 1John 4:7
We strive to be a place where all are not only welcomed, but where all are honored and loved. Fellowship is about fun, and it also is about evermore becoming able to see one another as our brothers and our sisters.
There are lots of opportunities for fellowship at the Chapel of the Holy Spirit. We gather each week for a student-led dinner and discussion on Thursday nights, go on retreats, tend our own garden behind the Chapel, study the Bible together, play crochet and board games, keep each other sane during finals week, etc.
Service
“Serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received.” -1Pet4:10b
There are countless opportunities to engage in meaningful service in the city of New Orleans, and we are passionate about service. At the Chapel, we provide housing to volunteer groups staying in New Orleans. We also help to rebuild houses flooded in Hurricane Katrina one Saturday per month with the Rebuild Program of the Diocese of Louisiana. Many of our students volunteer throughout the city, and we are hosting a STAIR tutoring site at the Chapel Monday through Friday during the academic year.
